Information You Provide To Us

We use the information you provide to us, to operate, maintain, and provide top-notch services to you. We may also use the information to correspond with you, and to address any issues you raise. The following are the information you provide to us: 

Profile

You have choices about the information on your profile, such as your education, work experience, skills, photo, video, city or area.  You don’t have to provide additional information on your profile; however, profile information helps you to get more from our services. It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information on your profile and to make that sensitive information public. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you would not want to be publicly available.

Posting and Uploading

We collect personal data from you when you provide, post or upload it to our Services, such as when you fill out a form, (e.g., with demographic data), respond to a survey, or submit a resume.

You don’t have to post or upload personal data; though if you don’t, it may limit your ability to grow and engage with your network over our Services.

Information we collect from you automatically

We may directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our products. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit and other information that assists us in improving our services. Messages

We collect information about you when you send, receive, or engage with messages in connection with our Services. For example, if you get an email from HR panelist, we track whether you have acted on it. We also use automatic scanning technology on messages.

Seklo.pk use the information it collects about you for the following purposes:

  • Providing you with the Service: We use the information that you provide us to provide our services to you. Our Services help you connect with others, find and be found for work and business opportunities, stay informed and be more productive.

Legal basis for processing information under the GDPR (For EEA users only)

For users in the EEA, we process your information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR governs how Seklo.pk may process your information, and the rights that EEA users have in relation to it. This means that Seklo.pk will collect and use your information only where:

  • We need it to provide our services and fulfil our obligations to you under our Terms of Use.
  • It is justified because of a legitimate interest such as for research and development or marketing the Service (but only where our legitimate interest isn’t overridden by your interest in protecting your data).

We value your privacy and will not rent or sell your information to third parties (including any parent, subsidiaries and affiliates) without your consent, except with it is mandated by government authorities.

We would only share your information to third parties who are service providers for the purpose of providing our services to you and to promote Seklo.pk’s interest.

Some of the third parties that Seklo.pk may share your personal information with include providers who assist Seklo.pk with functions such as:

  • Email services;
  • Customer support and customer management;
  • Billing;

How we transfer, store and protect your data

Cross-border transfers of information (For EEA users only)

For EEA users, where we transfer your information to a third-party provider that is not located in the EEA, and is not subject to an adequacy decision by the EU Commission, we will require those third-party providers to enter into an agreement that provides appropriate safeguards for your information. From time to time we may also seek your consent to transfer your information to a third country outside the EEA.

Unlawful access of your information

In the event that any information under our control is unlawfully accessed as a result of a breach of security, Seklo.pk will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

If there is a breach of our security, we will investigate it and let any affected users know.

Choices about your information

You control your information and settings

You also stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests. You may not opt out of Service-related communications (e.g. reminders, changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices).

Opting out of collection of your information for Tracking / Advertising

Kindly refer to your mobile device or browser’s technical information for instructions on how to delete and disable cookies, and other tracking/recording tools. Depending on your type of device, it may not be possible to delete or disable tracking mechanisms on your mobile device. Note that disabling cookies and/or other tracking tools prevents Seklo.pk or its business partners from tracking your browser’s activities in relation to the Service, and for use in targeted advertising activities by third parties. Rights in respect of your Information

If we are unable to resolve your request, or if you are concerned about a potential violation, you may be entitled to report the issue or make a complaint to the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

How Long we keep your user content

Seklo.pk may retain your profile information and user content for a commercially reasonable time, and for as long as we have a valid purpose to do so. In particular, Seklo.pk may retain your information for the purpose of compliance with its legal and audit obligations, and for backup and archival purposes.
